Quite a long time we thought that in the summer rafting on Cheremosh isn't possible. Until we had arrived for rafting in the Carpathian Mountains in the summer in 2007. We recognised that rafting on Cheremosh in the summer isn't less interesting than in spring. And every next year confirms this. Mainly in the summer, the water level isn't as high as in April or May. But often after warm summer rains, the water in Cheremosh in a few hours can rise significantly above the spring level. Even well-known flood in 2008 was in the summer.
It isn't necessary to wear a wetsuit in the summer on Cheremosh. Sometimes even in the Carpathians the temperature in the shadow reaches 30 degrees, the cool Cheremosh water gives a pleasant cooling. In summer, the water is usually clear and clean. It is very nice to swim and dive. During rafting on Cheremosh in summer you can even afford safe training with rafts.
Everyone can try rafting on kayaks in the summer on Cheremosh. It's safe and easy when low water. Summer in the Carpathians is a good time for beginners to start training on kayaks.
In addition to rafting in the Carpathian Mountains - in summer you can go to the mountains to gather mushrooms and berries. It's very convenient from our rafting camp Rada Daraba to climb to Pip Ivan or other peaks of Chornogora, Kostrich and Grinyav ridges.
Bicycle rental will start very soon in the rafting camp in Krasnyk, and you can explore the surrounding mountains on a bike.
And we always expect brave tourists for rafting on the stormy rapids of the Prut, White Cheremosh, Mizunka, Tysa and other Carpathian rivers.
