Recently I've been on rafting on the Dniester with children many times, so I thought I knew well what awaited for me. But this time it was a real test of strength. We were tested by weather and mosquitoes. On the first day during the bathing, one dad cut his leg and was forced to evacuate from the Dniester to the hospital with his family. Then we were attacked by Dniester mosquitoes. Previously, I thought that there were no mosquitoes on the Dniester, or they weren't so angry or don't eat me. But in 2019 everything has changed on the Dniester River.
The next day was a heavy rain. But it wasn't hot, and we quickly got to the place of the camp. Then a heavy rain began. Flows flowed around the tents. Raft almost completely poured with water. Well, that Dniester Canyon is the warmest place in the Ternopil region.
In general, everyone was liked our active rest, although it was hard to call it "rest". I'm sure that at least one instructor would substantially help with organizational issues and with transferring equipment. And we could really enjoy the rest on the Dniester with the children. It isn't necessary to rush a lot during family rafting on the Dniester. Rafting along the Dniester is a great opportunity to swim freely, to go in the wood, play with a ball, visit the caves and waterfalls. And it is important that someone takes care about where to sleep and what to eat.
So the next time I will go to the children's rafting on the Dniester, where will be enough instructors-assistants, animators and small distances for rafting.
